Editor,

I was thrilled to read about 50 candidates who are leaving for India to study in order to bridge the skill gaps in the Agricultural Sector.

If Rwanda continues giving scholarships according to the urgent skills gaps that are in existent it will greatly help the economy to develop.

Also, scholarships should be based on how effective the outcomes will be in developing the country, For instance Rwanda’s economic backbone is agriculture, and priority of scholarships should be given to the Agricultural Sector.

I am not saying that some should be denied scholarships but the criteria should identify what is very relevant to development.

If the country concentrates on offering vital scholarships, Rwanda will earn both knowledge and good developmental services.
