Fina Bank donates to Groupe Scolaire Munyinya

MUHANGA - Fina Bank Rwanda has donated assorted office equipment worth Rwf3 million to Groupe Scolaire Munyinya in Muhanga District.

MUHANGA - Fina Bank Rwanda has donated assorted office equipment worth Rwf3 million to Groupe Scolaire Munyinya in Muhanga District.

The donation was handed over on Wednesday to the school’s headmistress Mary Louise Murekatete.

This gesture is part of its  corporate social responsibility, aimed at enhancing the relationship between the bank, its clients and the community, according to Rosine Ushizimpumu, an official of Fina Bank.

"Our offer is aimed at  impacting on  the lives of the students in their pursuit for education in one way or another,” she said, adding that it portrays the bank’s interest in the needs of its clients and the community it serves.

Murekatete said that there is no doubt that the facilities will help beneficiaries , considering the growing school enrolment under the new system of education which has been unveiled .

According to Murekatete, the six -year old school has over 1,000 students, about 191 of whom are secondary students.

The district director of education, Claude Sebashi revealed that Groupe Scolaire is one of educational institutions with the highest number of students in the district.

"Donations like this to such schools are most welcome  since children are the future of our country. So any help of this kind is a very positive gesture,” he noted.
