Eritrean cyclist Henok Mulubrhan thrilled fans with a powerful sprint to the finish line in Kayonza, securing victory in the first stage of the 2025 Tour du Rwanda on Monday, February 24.

The 2023 Tour du Rwanda champion completed the 157.8 km ride from Rukomo to Kayonza in 3 hours, 57 minutes, and 52 seconds, fending off strong competition from Israel Premier Tech's Rotem Tene, TotalEnergies’ Lorrenzo Manzin, Lotto Dstny’s Milan Menten, and Brady Gilmore of Israel Premier Tech, who all finished in the top 5.

The Tour du Rwanda 2025 continues on Tuesday, February 25th, with the second stage, a 112.8km ride from Kigali (MIC) to Musanze.
