After narrowly missing out on a historic treble last season, Atraco have wasted no time in offering their key players contract extensions in a bid to remain competitive in the new season.

Assistant captain Jean Shyaka, strikers Hamis Kitagenda, Andre Lomami, midfielders Peter Kagabo, Alimasi Kadogo, Ishmael Habumugisha, defender Godfrey Kateregga and goalkeeper Jean Luc Ndayishimiye alias Bakame have all agreed to sign new contracts.

Atraco assistant coach Emmanuel Ruremesha said that although the players have not put pen to paper, they had agreed terms with the club and that he was confident they would sign within this week.

"They have all agreed to renew their contracts with the club. We are discussing personal terms with each of the players and we’re confident they will sign before the end of this week,” Ruremesha told Times Sport yesterday.

Atraco narrowly missed out on a treble last season but still ended up with a double of Cecafa/Kagame Cup and the MTN Peace Cup.
