The ministry of local government will, starting today organize a football tournament for local leaders from the sector level to the provincial level, starting this morning at Gatwaro stadium in Karongi district up to December 5.

The five teams which will be battling for the top prize include; the Southern Province, Northern Province, Eastern Province, the Western Province and Kigali city. The return leg matches will start on October 17.

The final will be played at Amahoro stadium at a date yet to be confirmed.

The Secretary General in the Ministry of Local Government, Eugene Barikana said that the tournament will give a chance to the local leaders to interact and talk about the challenges of their various districts.
