Cool and smart

The weather is hostile! Very hot, to an extent that some people are forced to either rush home for a quick shower during lunchtime or forego some hard earned cash for a swim in order to resume work fresh.

Whatever your option is, it’s very important to stay trendy and efficient no matter how horrible the weather might be.

When it comes to fashion, there are lots of things to consider, not just throwing things on and partnering different seasons at once.

Sometimes we have to compromise with the weather in order to maintain a trendy statement and confidence at all cost.

"The terribly hot weather hasn’t affected me because I know how to choose the right attire for it,” Cynthia Umulisa.

There are some people who still don’t know how to deal with this weather.

Some have even abandoned the office dress code. In the afternoons, they hang their coats and unbutton their shirts, while others have resorted to carrying flip-flops to office so that they can wear them under the guise of their office desks.

What to wear

Cotton fabrics, especially in loose, light weaves, can be your new best friend. Natural materials are the coolest, and few are cooler than loosely woven cotton.

Grab yourself one of those cute over-sized stylish shirts or tops in white and pair it with black pants. The combination is perfectly friendly, especially with the right accessories and shoes.

Ladies,  get the ankle-length, black cotton gypsy skirt for this hot season. It’s cool, comfortable and best of all. It keeps your legs from getting sunburned. Black slip dresses are also a little slice of awesome in the hotter months.

And now for a few random observations: Sandals and flip-flops come in black. Loose clothing is cooler than tight clothing.
Invest in some fluffy wool or cotton socks.

It may sound ridiculous but when your feet start sweating, they’ll be a lot cooler and a lot more comfortable in those socks.
