The art applied to the beautification process is bigger and better. Now we are in the wake of a newer revolution of body piercings.

Lately piercings are no longer confined to just ear and nose now the tongue, eyebrows are new avenues subject to numerous piercing designs.

Like tattoos, piercing enjoys mixed criticism.

Traditional ear piercing is acceptable and even encouraged across many cultures.

However venturing out of the normal can raise eye brows. Some people have noted that other piercings are unbiblical and a mark of outcasts and self appointed know it all but this remains subject to discussion.

Their major drawback is their permanence. So before settling for one it’s important to think if through. Just because a celeb look divine in a piercing doesn’t mean it will apply directly to you.

The profession one is engaged in also makes piercings spots relative. Some careers are more permissible and can allow for as many piercings but others like banking are abit more confined to ear pins.

Upper lip piercing pioneered by Madonna has become even more famous than the nose piercing.

Piercings are followed by painful process of after care, depending on person to person and their health status a piercing can take from one month to three months.

The duration also varies depending on part of the body. The tongue for example can take a week to completely heal after a piercing. After care is crucial during this time.

The salon will provide antiseptic to use on the piercing until healing is achieved.

Before you decide to get a body piercing, make sure you see an expert and they can advise you on piercings they have available and which would fit for you.

It would also be advisable to try wearing a magnet pin for a while on the spot you desire a pin so that you can fully get acquainted with the possibility before you actually pierce.

After piercing its up to you to choose the appropriate jewellery and they fit as according to the image you wish to carry.
