APR FC striker Mamadou Sy has said he has no doubts that his club has what it takes to retain the Rwanda Premier League title.

The Mauritanian striker came from the bench to net a 94th-minute winner as APR defeated AS Kigali 2-1 at Kigali Pele Stadium on Sunday, February.

Rayon Sports lead the table with 40 points and are three points clear of APR FC whom Sy insists can turn the table around and be champions again this season

"We have a strong team and we play good football. We have what it takes to win the league title this season." Sy told Time Sport.

Reacting on his late winner against AS Kigali, the striker, who returned to the scoresheet for the first time since November 2024, said that he is glad that his goal earned his team all three points of the day.

"It is great for me to be back to the scoring sheet and help my team get the 3 points in a very difficult game."

APR’s next test will be against Mukura VS on Sunday, February 23 at Huye Stadium.
