Clarisse Nshuti, 20, who was crowned Miss Kigali Institute of Science and Technology (KIST) on August 2, 2009, has embarked on advocating for children’s rights and the widows.
"I’m drafting a project. My major focus is on children and the widows, the groups that are normally ignored in the society,” Nshuti said, adding that, "I want them to also enjoy their rights like other classes of people.”
Nshuti began her first official day as Miss KIST last week, by informing The New Times about her plans as a Miss, and a new project that she is soon to embark on.
The first year student in the faculty of Engineering, today, will join other Miss Campuses in the concert, to fundraise for the needy children in the country, at the School of Finance and Banking (SFB).
