TRIPOLI, LIBYA - Kenny Gasana’s dazzling performances at the on-going Afrobasket competition in Libya couldn’t go unnoticed.

There are reports that Libya’s Al-Ittihad is interested in signing the player who leads Rwanda’s scoring charts with 104 points at an average of 17.3 points per game.

Gasana, who plays as a guard on the Rwandan team made his presence felt right from the first game when he grossed 31points after playing 38 minutes against Morocco.

He followed that display with 12points against Cape Verde, 8points against Tunisia, 18points against five-time champions Senegal, 11points against Central African Republic and 24points against Cameroon.

Al-lttihad is one of the leading basketball clubs in Libya.

It is funded by Libyan President
Muammar Gaddafi.

AI-Ittihad and AI-Nasser are currently joint table leaders in the 2008-09 basketball season.

The two teams are level on 17 points, one more than AI Ahly Benghazi, who are in third place.
