Musanze FC head coach Sosthene Habimana believes his side is capable of eliminating APR ahead of the second leg of the 2025 Peace Cup at Kigali Stadium on February 19.

Musanze held APR in the first leg at Ubworoherane Stadium on Wednesday, February 12, and the home team’s performance gave Habimana confidence that they can overcome the army side and advance to the next round.

"If we can play goalless against the big team like APR, it means we are able to make them suffer. Yes, it is true they are a better side but it does not guarantee them to eliminate us. We are going to prepare well the return leg well and I believe we can win the game,” Habimana said.

"APR are a great team and have massive experience in the Peace Cup but I know my players can beat anyone especially in the knockout stages, so we will go to Kigali for the return leg with energy. We can eliminate them,” he added.

The winner of the tie will qualify for the quarter-finals.
