Taifa Stars head coach Marcio Maximo (pic) is confident his youth studded side will win the duel with Amavubi Stars in tomorrow’s international friendly match.

Maximo appealed to his players to focus on winning the match so as to improve their chances of playing professional football abroad.

"We’ve a tricky friendly, but we have to maintain our discipline and fighting spirit if we want to attain the desired result,” the Brazilian coach told Tanzania media over the weekend.

Maximo lauded all players and other stakeholders who have been offering their invaluable support to the national team.

He boasted: "With the players I have, I am confident that Taifa Stars are going to finish off the Amavubi at their own stadium.”
"There are many youngsters who can outmaneuver the Rwandans. I am happy Tanzania is in the right track,” he said.

Tanzania will be eying victory in the friendly as a way of laying ground for next year’s Africa Nation Championship (CHAN) qualifiers, in addition to improving their FIFA rankings.
