Vision FC head coach Abdul Mbarushimana says his team lost to Gorilla because they lacked concentration.

Vision FC coach Abdul Mbarushimana says his players were not focused which proved costly in Thursday’s 2-1 defeat to Gorilla FC at Kigali Pele Stadium.

Mbarushimana insists his players performed well but their lack of concentration resulted in losing the match which he believes could have ended otherwise.

"We played beautiful football but we made two unnecessary mistakes and they scored through a penalty and a free kick. We lacked concentration and failed to manage the game but I think we can improve and remain in the league." Mbarushimana told the press in a post-match interview.

Despite the loss, Mbarushimana praised new signings Elie Ganijuru and Elia Kategaya who made an impact since they were introduced in the second half.

" For the new signings, I think they are all good. You all saw how Kategaya and Ganijuru played. Some of the new signings are not fully fit."

Gorilla FC were reduced to 10 men after club captain Victor Murdah was sent off in the 86th minute for bringing down Vision FC which resulted into a penalty:

Commenting on the incident, club head coach Alain Kirasa said it was the only choice his player had.

" My captain (Victor) did the right thing by bringing the player down. Vision FC had a counter and they were going to score so he had to foul the player."

The result moved Gorilla FC to third place with 26 points. They are level on points with AS Kigali sho have played a game less.

" Our main target is to end the season in the top four. We are currently in third place which is nice for now," Kirasa said.
