Etincelles new head coach Innocent Seninga has set himself a target to help the team finish in the top 10 in the Rwanda Premier League which resumes on February.
Seninga left Djiboutian side Gendarmerie FC in December 2024 due to unpaid wages. He joined Etincelles as new head coach earlier this weekend replacing Mailo Nzeyimana to the hot seat after the club terminated his contract in January due to poor performance.
Etincelles finished the first round of the league sitting in 13th place with 14 points and only two points separate them from the relegation zone.
Seninga is aware the team is not safe from the drop zone but he is rather focused on guiding the Rubavu-based team in the top 10 finish at the end of the league campaign.

"The team has dropped many points in the first round, I need to turn things around early so I am here to make sure that we get out of the danger zone. It is a tough league especially in second round but we have to prepare well all the games because, with just one defeat, you can drop to relegation zone” Seninga said.
"In the first round, I think they had problems of inconsistency but we sat down and talked about the problems and now we have started to gain confidence. I think players need to improve their confidence and I believe we can challenge with other teams,” Seninga added.

He admitted that his side has been struggling to earn points which cost them, adding that, "our aim is to finish in a better position; we can finish in the top ten.”
Etincelles managed only two wins out of 15 games in the first round of the league. They sit in 13th place on the table with 14 points. They will travel to Huye on Sunday, February 9, ahead of clash against Amagaju FC.
Seninga is no stranger to Rwandan football, having previously coached Sunrise FC, Musanze FC and Police FC among others.
