Red hot winger Claude Kamoso Harerimana has vowed to qualify AS Muhanga back to topflight football.

The former Etoile de l'Est and Vision FC player was in his elements again over the weekend netting a hat trick in AS Muhanga’s 3-0 win against University of Rwanda (UR) FC on Sunday, February 2, to maintain their position at the top of the Division 2.

Harerimana confidently said that his side is on course and will surely return to the top flight as long as they maintain their current form in the second division league.

"The promotion is now loading, it is 80 percent and we will fight to make it happen. I have only one objective which is to secure AS Muhanga a ticket to the Rwanda Premier League," he told Times Sport.

Harerimana has netted 10 goals in 16 league games so far this season including Sunday’s hat trick against UR FC.

The talented winger was pleased by his performance over the weekend and is eager to score more as the season progresses.

"I am glad to score my first hat trick this season. I want to be the top scorer in the second division. The season is going well and I have to keep the momentum."

AS Muhanga last played topflight football during the 2020/21 season. They now lead the pack in Group B with 34 points.
