It was a fair weekend for Rwandan players playing abroad as a number of them continued their impressive form at their respective clubs.

Winger Louange Muhire netted his fifth goal in the last four games for his new club KVK Ninove while centre back Ange Mutsinzi was a rock at the back of Zira FK who shocked league leaders Qarabag 3-2.

Bonheur Mugisha also bossed the midfield of Stade Tunisien to perfection as they earned a point against Metlaoui in the Tunisian Ligue 1.

England

Kamari Doyle, who joined Crawley Town on loan from Brighton & Hove Albion, replaced Max Anderson in the 77th minute as they lost 2-1 to Wrexham on Saturday, February 1.

Belgium

Hakim Sahabo enjoyed 90 minutes of action for Beerschot who lost 1-0 to Genk at Cegeka Arenaon Saturday, February 1. Beerschot are still rooted at the bottom of the league table with just 13 points from 24 games.

Midfielder Samuel Gueulette enjoyed another fruitful 90 minutes for third-placed Raal La Louviere who held Challenger Pro League leaders Zulte Waregem to a 0-0 draw on Sunday, February 2 while Louange Muhire continued his impressive form for KVK Ninove in the Belgian third tier as he found the back of the net in the 80th minute to earn his side a pulsating 3-3 draw with Lyra-Lierse Berlaar on Saturday, February 1.

France

Right-back Warren Kamanzi saw 66 minutes of action for Toulouse on Saturday before making way for Algerian midfielder Rafik Messali as the club drew 0-0 against Nice.

In the French Ligue 2, attacker Joel Mugisha Mvuka played 66 minutes for Lorient FC who maintained their position at the summit of the table with a 2-1 victory over Red Star on Saturday.

Azerbaijan

Defender back Ange Mutsinzi was resolute at the back for Zira FK who stunned league leaders Qarabag 3-2 on Sunday, February 2. Zira have moved to third on the league table with 36 points from 21 games.

Innocent Nshuti also played all 90 minutes of the game as his side Sabail FK played a 1-1 draw with Turan on Saturday. Sabail are unbeaten in their last three games played in 2025 since signing the Rwandan striker and although they are still at the bottom of the table, they have closed the point gap from relegation zone to within one point.

Tunisia

Holding midfielder Bonheur Mugisha once again controlled the midfield of Stade Tunisien and enjoyed another full 90 minutes as his side was held to a goalless draw by Metlaoui on Saturday. The draw saw them drop to third in the league with 35 points, just a point behind leaders Esperance de Tunis.

South Africa

In the crunch Soweto Derby, goalkeeper Fiacre Ntwari was on the substitute bench for Kaizer Chiefs who lost 1-0 to Orlando Pirates at the FNB Stadium in Johannesburg on Saturday.

Kaizer Chiefs have struggled recently, losing three of their last five matches. They now sit fifth on the table with 21 points, 15 shy of leaders Mamelodi Sundowns who have played two game less.

Kenya

Striker Arthur Gitego was not included in AFC Leopards’ match day squad during Sunday’s 1-0 win over Nairobi City Stars.

Saudi Arabia

Goalkeeper Olivier Kwizera was in the posts for Al Kawkab who were Sunday thrashed 4-0 by Al Jeel in match day 23 of the Saudi Arabia second tier.

Midfielder Steve Rubanguka also featured for Al Nojoom FC who lost 3-1 to Mudhar on Saturday

Al Ahli Tripoli centre-back Thierry Manzi is still recovering from injury and he missed club’s 2-0 win over Abelashhar on Sunday.

Amavubi skipper Djihad Bizimana played for Kryvbas who lost 2-0 to Kalmar FF in a preseason game in Spain.

New signing Marvin Johan Kury made his debut for FC Delemont who beat Xamax 2-0 in a mid-season friendly.
