APR winger Ramadhan Niyibizi has said his side is aiming to win three trophies this season after lifting the Heroes Cup.
The army side defeated rivals Police FC 4-2 on penalty shootouts in the final to win the Heroes Cup on Saturday, February 1, at Kigali Pele Stadium and Niyibizi insists they are only getting started as they vow to finish the season with a treble.
"We are hoping to win every major trophy this season. We also need the league title and the Peace Cup, so this is just the beginning," Niyibizi told the press.

There were reports that Rwandan players at APR FC don’t pass foreign players and some were concerned that it would affect the club’s results.
However, after win over Police in the Heroes Cup final, Niyibizi defended his teammates and dispelled the rumours, insisting that all players play as a team.
"It is said that we as Rwandans are avoiding to pass our foreign teammates but that’s not true because we work as teammates. We joined hands for the success of the team," he said.
APR will be back in action on Saturday, February 8, when they take on Kiyovu Sports in match day 16 of the 2024/25 Rwanda Premier League.
