As the festive season takes shape, people are set to be treated to some exciting events, including gospel music concerts.

Event organisers have lined up a number of gospel concerts in the city, some of which will be headlined by famous foreign musicians.

In this article, The New Times looks at the top four gospel concerts that people should look out for as the year winds up:

Hillsong London at BK Arena

In what is anticipated to be a quite iconic concert, Hillsong London will be performing in Kigali on November 25.

Having held their first concert in the country barely three years ago, it comes as a surprise that the popular band has chosen to return to Rwanda in such a short time.

Hillsong’s live concerts are always guaranteed to stand out in terms of great sound, beautiful stage lighting and visual effects displayed on screens, going along with the stunning lyrics contained in their songs.

Just like in 2019, this year’s show will take place at the BK Arena, a venue that can host up to 10,000 people.

Travis Greene at Camp Kigali

Local events organising firm RG Consult recently announced that Travis Greene, a famous American gospel musician will be performing in Kigali on December 8.

Greene is considered one of the best gospel musicians in the world currently.

The news of his coming to Rwanda has already excited many people who are looking forward to hearing him sing his popular songs like &039;Made a Way,' 'Intentional,' and 'Nara e Kele.’

His coming to Rwanda follows in the footsteps of other great gospel musicians who have performed in the country including Don Moen, Hillsong London, and Nigeria's Sinachi.

The Kigali Praise Fest is also expected to feature performances by a number of local gospel musicians and groups.

Israel Mbonyi at BK Arena

Many people will be looking forward to this one, as Mbonyi’s music has become quite attractive to many people, both Christian and non-Christian.

The local artiste is set to hold a concert at the BK Arena on Christmas.

It has been quite a year for him as he held successful music tours outside of Rwanda – particularly in Israel and Canada.

As such, the BK Arena show will be an icing on the cake for his local fans, and a time for them to enjoy some of his new songs like Icyambu and Yaratwimanye.

Vestine and Dorcas at Camp Kigali

The fast-rising gospel duo of Vestine and Dorcas will also hold a concert to launch their songs on December 24, at Camp Kigali.

Rwandan duo Vestine and Dorcus will perform in Kigali before we wind up the year.

This will be the youngsters’ first major concert, and it is expected to attract a number of their fans in the city.

Vestine and Dorcus have made a number of great songs including ‘Ibuye,’ ‘Nahawe ijambo’ and so on.
