Local Manchester United fans’ club raised Rwf249,300 towards the One Dollar Campaign during a party to celebrate their team’s success held on Sunday at Car wash Gardens.

The contribution was made in the spirit of One Dollar Campaign, which was initiated by the Rwanda Diaspora community to raise  funds needed to provide shelter for homeless orphans of the 1994 Genocide against Tutsis.

The fans were celebrating Manchester United’s successful 2008/9 campaign which saw them win their 18th Premier league title, World Club Championship, and the Carling Cup.
