IVORIAN born striker Cyrille Bille Kauame and Kaper Kauimi are expected to add steel to Amavubi’s pre-selected squad for the upcoming international friendly against Tanzania’s Taifa Stars.

Amavubi will host Taifa Stars on August 12 and the friendly is expected to act as a build up to Amavubi’s 2010 World/ Africa Nations Cup crunch tie against Egypt.

Kauame arrived on Saturday while the Cameroonian born defender Kauimi was expected into the country last evening.

Ferwafa’s Chief Executive Officer Jules Kalisa has also confirmed that Cyprus based defender Hamad Ndikumana would jet in this Sunday, three days before the friendly.

The team enters residential training this morning at La Palisse Hotel, Nyandugu under the guidance of head coach Branko Tucak, who is back from a short holiday in his native Croatia.
Rwanda need to get their act together if they are to stand any chance of qualifying for next year’s Africa Nations Cup in Angola.

The wasps have only collected a point from a possible nine in the the third and final qualifying round.

After being held to a goalless draw in their opening qualifier against Algeria, Amavubi crumbled with back to back defeats against Zambia (1-0) and Egypt (3-0).

Taifa Stars will also use the friendly to maintain their rhythm ahead of next year’s Africa Nation Championship (CHAN) qualifiers.
