We are not trying to spoil your holiday, kids! Neither are we trying to make the parents nervous due to the upcoming back to school shopping and the upcoming absence of their little ones when they go back to school next week.

However, we, the SundayMag team, the producers of your favourite weekend companion, are saying that the back-to-school bells are ringing. We hope the holiday has been fruitful so far. The parents noticing remarkable improvements in their ‘babies’ while the holiday makers also had time to relax while being useful at the same time

Parents, you should ensure that all the holiday school homework was properly done and understood. You should also try not to push the back-to-school shopping away. You should start shopping now so that by the time the child returns to school, nothing vital has been left out.

Students on the other hand should help the parents in making a list of what they require at school, early.

This way, the parents can plan well so that the students don’t go back to school with sullen faces. It’s also important that the parents let the children do some of the shopping as a way of grooming their children levels of responsibility. This way, they will learn that things don’t come easy.
