Jules Murenzi, best known as MJ in the local music industry has got it all. The moonwalk dance style, arty vocal cord, diligence, all these and many other features qualify him as Rwanda’s living MJ.

The upcoming popstar was born in 1987 in Huye district, Southern Province. He had his primary education in Ngoma Primary School, and secondary at Petit Seminaire Baptiste, in Huye.

The self-claimed MJ says he started his music career as a pop dancer in January 2002, the same year when he wrote his first song "Turengere Ibidukikije”, literally meaning "Let’s protect the environment”.

He recorded his debut song in January 2009, and has eight tracks such as "Nta munoza”, Bimwereke”, and "Ukuri "already hitting the local radio airwaves.

The "Rubanda” singer is one of the top pop musicians, whose tracks have topped the local music charts.
