Dukundane Family, on Sunday launched its website while marking the end of the 100 days of mourning, at the Prime Holdings, in Kimihurura.

Speaking at the launch which featured cultural dances, music and drama by Dukundane Family members and Rwandan artist Kitoko, the association’s coordinator, Egide Gatari said the website will enlighten more about the life of genocide survivors, showing the testimonies.

Dukundane Family is an association of 200 Genocide survivors established by former Student association of Genocide.

"We [Dukundane Family] decided to organize an annual event of commemorating and giving respect to our lost ones who perished during the Genocide against Tutsi,” said Gatari.

After writing and publishing a book ‘Ishavu ry’abato’ containing testimonies of 41 members who ranged between 2 and 11 during the 1994 Genocide.

The minister of youth Protais Mitali who was the guest of honor appreciated the association for the love and passion it has for the country.

"I urge you to continue speaking for the survivours and fighting Genocide denial,” Mitali said.
