Rwanda football federation (Ferwafa) are not considering any friendly matches for Amavubi Stars before their 2010 World/Africa Nations Cup return leg home qualifier against Egypt on September 5.

The federation’s CEO, Jules Kalisa told Times Sport yesterday that they don’t have any plans of arranging  a friendly match.

"It’s not possible for us to engage Amavubi in any build up match before the Egypt qualifier,” Kalisa stated.

Meanwhile, Egypt have lined up a build-up game against Guinea. The game will be played in Cairo on August 12.
The Pharaohs’ assistant coach, Shawki Gharib, recently told FilGoal.com that the exhibition will be part of Egypt’s preparations for the Rwanda World Cup qualifier.

Gharib added that local based players will be named for the game one week after the start of the Egyptian Premier League. European based players will be named two weeks to the game.

Hassan Shehata’s men are currently second in Group C with four points from three games, three points behind leaders Algeria. Zambia also have four points but are third on goal difference.

Amavubi start their preparations on August 13.
Rwanda did little to salvage any hopes of qualifying for next year’s World Cup and Africa Nations Cup after managing only a point from their opening three games.

Amavubi lost out to Zambia (0-1) and Egypt (0-3) before securing a goalless draw against Algeria.
