Miss Shanel has released a new track with Kenyan Kevin Wyre called "Nakutaka”, a Swahili word to mean, (I want you).

Wyre, commonly known as "Wyre the Love Child”, is a member of Kenya’s hip hop group Necessary Noise, alongside female MC/singer Nazizi Hiriji.

There is something interesting about this track one  has to appreciate when you listen to it over and over again. It has a professional quality, and the lyrics are exclusively clear.

The track, which is now a hit on almost all Kenya’s radio stations, was put together by a Rwandan professional music producer, Robert Kamanzi.

Miss Shanel, real name Ruth Nirere, is a composer, songwriter, singer, dancer and actress.

The 24-year old, is famous for her lead role in the film Avenir, about the 1994 Rwandan Genocide against the Tutsi. Miss Shanel has also been nominated three-times for the Pearl of Africa Music Awards.
