Peter Junior Nyong’o, a younger brother to Oscar-winning actress Lupita Amondi Nyong’o, appeared on the red carpet wearing house of Tayo’s collection at the world premiere of Marvel Studios’ "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” held at the Dolby Theatre on October 26, 2022 in Los Angeles, California.

Junior Nyongo’s Wakanda Forever premiere look celebrates the legacy of Chadwick Boseman, an American actor who died last year, according to the Kigali based fashion house.

The actor who is also a musician had in the past rocked another customized suit made by House of Tayo during Black Panther 1 premiere that took place in 2018.

This year’s premiering red carpet featured some of the best fashion designers and celebrities including Rihanna and his boyfriend ASAP rocky.

Matthew Rugamba, the founder and creative director of House of Tayo, told The New Times that he drew inspiration from Chadwick’s divine Versace look from the 2018 Black Panther Met Gala to design Junior’s Wakanda Forever recent outfit.

Reacting to the development, Rugamba said, "It is truly a humbling experience to have my work on such a big platform. I am grateful for the opportunity and I'm proud of the great work that my team and I have done over the years”.

He added that Black Panther is one of the biggest movies that will be screened this year and having one of their designs at the premiere meant putting their brand out there and showing the world that high quality and well-designed products can come out of Rwanda.

The local fashion industry is among the best designers in Rwanda that has been clothing different celebs such as Mr Eazi, Davido among others.

"Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” is the sequel to the successful 2018 Marvel Studios film "Black Panther.” The sequel stars returning cast members Letitia Wright, Angela Bassett, Lupita Nyong’o, Winston Duke and Danai Gurira, alongside newcomers Tenoch Huerta, Michaela Coel and Dominique Thorne. The film debuts in theaters on November 11.
