Empowering the youth is empowering the Nation

Communication skills don’t only spell out someone’s personality, from whether they are able to communicate effectively or not but they are also vital in securing the future. Good communications skills come in handy when one is seeking employment, interacting with the public as well as in all day to day experiences. Where communication skills lack the society also lacks something. It’s very unfortunate therefore that only a small section of our population has mastered the art of communicating effectively, be it through formal training or naturally. Majority of our youth do not have interpersonal communication skills and this has a direct impact on their productivity and the image projected in public.

It is therefore timely that the First Lady, Mrs Jeannette Kagame, as she has always done, in pointing out areas where weaknesses prevail among the youth and she has always gone ahead to empower them.

This time the Patron of the Imbuto Foundation and team, have identified a key component in training the youth, that is in equipping them with interpersonal and communication skills.

A young person with excellent communication skills does not only exude a high level of confidence but also comes across as a respectable person, endowed with oratory skills needed to drive the point home at any one time.

It’s equally important to notice that the First Lady, as a mother and leader knows what the youth of this country need in order to make them responsible people who will push the country forward in the years to come.

This has earned Mrs Kagame, a name across the globe as a dedicated person; whose initiatives don’t only ensure a brighter future for young people but also through the Imbuto Foundation churns out a clear cut generation of youth with a vision ready to be future leaders of this country.
