Dear Editor,

I wish to commend New Times for highlighting public and social issues within Kigali City and environs. Kigali City has set an international city standard and is comparable to any city in the world.

City officials and MVK should enforce rules regarding privacy and noise pollution. There is a music kiosk opposite La Galette supermarket in town and they play very loud disco music from 7am - 9pm everyday and cause a nuisance.

This is not very comforting to other businesses in the locality as they have to put up with noise pollution and my children have a very hard time doing their school work as they are constantly being bombarded with loud music.

City Hall has a very good policy on plastic bags and wrappers, why do they not enforce noise pollution as well? The authorities can clamp down on such polluters and law abiding citizens can enjoy their privacy. Thank You.
