"Work with no play makes Jack a dull boy.” I know most of you have heard this proverb over and over again. This is not just said for fun. It carries a lot of meaning for children who listen and understand the proverb.

It simply means that all people need to have special time to do physical activities. These activities are mostly through sports and games. It even gets better for children. There is no limit to the kind of games you play and the friends you play with.

While at school, during your break time, instead of just sitting around eating and doing nothing, go ahead and play a game with your friends. If you don’t know any game to play, start with the ‘Cat and mouse chase’ just like in the Tom and Jerry cartoons.

For all the older children, there is not much fun like getting into the school team of Basketball, football, netball, handball, tennis, swimming, athletics, volleyball and any other games.

Getting involved in sports and games is what makes school fun. At least if you can’t play, you can be on the cheerleading squad and just scream your lungs out as you jump around- this is a great exercise too.

Just give it a try and when you do, you’ve got your game straight and you will never regret your decision. You never know, you might be the world’s next Kobe Bryant or Thierry Henry, maybe Ronaldo!!
