Liberian defence minister visits

Liberia’s Deputy Minister of Defence Dionysius Sebwe arrived in Rwanda yesterday for a three-day state visit.

Liberia’s Deputy Minister of Defence Dionysius Sebwe arrived in Rwanda yesterday for a three-day state visit.

He is heading a three-man delegation, which includes Liberia’s Chief of Staff Maj. Gen. Suraj Abdurrahman and the Counselor of the Liberian Ministry of Defence Wiefued Sayeh.

Military Spokesman Maj. Jill Rutaremara said yesterday that the delegation is expected to meet with Rwanda’s Chief of General Staff Gen. James Kabarebe.

"The delegation is here to formalise and strengthen military cooperation among the two countries,” Rutaremara said.

The delegation is expected to visit the Rwanda Military Academy at Gako and the Kigali Genocide Memorial Centre.
