Tee-off at 12.30

The third edition of the MTN monthly mug takes center stage today at the par-72 Kigali Golf Course (KGC) with over 50 golfers competing for honours.

This edition which counts as the May mug promises to be as thrilling as they come. After Steven Katwiremu and John Semwaga taking the first and second editions respectively, it is left to be seen if there will be a new winner today.

Golfers who will use stroke play as the mode of play will have a shot-gun tee-off at 12.30.

Semwaga who had been away from the greens for over two years returned with a bang to lift the April mug. The handicap 3 golfer stroked 71net beating his closest challenger Davis Kashaka by two strokes.

Katwiremu won the premier edition (March mug) after a superb three-under par 69.
