A THANKSGIVING GALA NIGHT is due to take place Sunday, October 30, at Serena Hotel, to celebrate Aline Gahongayire’s journey in music and philanthropy in a colorful event during which she will unveil a new life-changing project as part of her continued drive to give back to the community through her organisation ‘Ndi Neza’.

The event dubbed ‘Glory Thanksgiving Gala Night’, serves to bring the singer together with her audience and help her mark 22 years in music, a career she describes as a successful ride worth celebrating.

"I have been in music for the past 22 years and that is a big achievement that I look forward to celebrating with everyone who has been part of this incredible journey. I am grateful for what music has given me throughout this journey and I need people to join me for this celebration,” she told The New Times.

A venue of Serena Hotel’s capacity is not something that the acclaimed singer’s audience were expecting to see her event take place given the fan base that she has built over the years down the road.

However, Gahongayire is convinced that the venue can accommodate the number that she targets to host for the gala night which she says will be attended by a limited number of attendees who will buy tickets first.

She explained that the gala night is not a concert, although she will have a performance alongside the artistes that she invited to help her grace the event.

"I just want to invite people to celebrate and enjoy good music with me but only those who will be the first to buy tickets will be able to attend. I promise to have another big concert where a bigger number of people will be invited,” she said.

On the agenda of the gala dinner will include a red carpet, dinner, live performance and surprise gifts.

According to the singer, everything is now set and people are already booking tickets.

"Over 100 people have so far booked tickets in the VVIP zone which is almost sold out. I would advise those who haven’t bought tickets to do it so soon so they don’t miss out on this very important evening of celebration,” she said.

Among other performers at the gala night include Niyo Bosco, Nel Ngabo and Nyundo music school students.

Music has inspired Gahongayire to use what she has achieved to give back to the community through her charity organization ‘Ndi Neza’, which is one of the most prestigious achievements that she is celebrating.

For her, music has indirectly enabled her to get close to the community which she has been supporting her in a way or another.

"Music is part of life. It has contributed a lot to my initiatives to give back to the community and that’s why the money that we will get from the tickets will be allocated in activities aimed at supporting the community,” she said.

Tickets are on sale at Rwf100, 000 for VVIPs and Rwf150, 000. They will be accompanied by champagne and gifts inside. The VIP tickets go for Rwf50,000, dinner inclusive.

Bookings are ongoing via 0782229626 registered to Kenny Deborah, who is part of Gahongayire’s management team.
