Nine-time league champion APR are ready to ban their gone missing striker Bokungu Ndjoli. The player, who hails from DR. Congo, went AWOL (Away without Official Leave) after the national football league was put on hold mid this month to pave way for Amavubi stars preparations ahead of next month’s 2010 World/Africa Nations Cup qualifier against Zambia.

The APR club president Brig. Gen. Alex Kagame told Times Sport yesterday that the military side does not tolerate undisciplined players and will for this matter ban the player.

"Bokungu is still our player despite claims that he is out of contract with the club. His contract expires next year,” Kagame revealed.

"We are going to ban him for his indiscipline.”

Bokungu was recently seen on DRC satellite television, Digital Congo saying that his contract with APR ran out this month.

"My contract with APR ended and if they need me, we will have talks for an extension but for now I’m in a break,” Bokungu said.

The striker has scored 12 goals this season, two goals shy of top scorer Jean Lomami (Atraco).

According to reports from the local football governing body, Ferwafa, the league resumes on July 18. Reigning champions Atraco FC top the table with 47 points, two more than APR. Rayon Sport is in third place on 40 points.
