Rwanda’s football federation (Ferwafa) has ruled out speculations that Raoul Shungu will become the national team technical advisor.

There have been speculations that the former Rayon Sport coach is to be given that role for the remaining part of the 2010 World/Africa Nations’ Cup qualifier campaign.

Ferwafa Chief Executive Officer Jules Kalisa admitted to Times Sport that though the Congolese coach has been closely working with Amavubi Stars head coach Branko Tucak but he will not be offered the role of technical advisor.

"He is helping Tucak prepare the team technically for the Zambia game,” Kalisa said.

Ferwafa believe that Shungu has a lot to offer after flying to Cairo for the Egypt-Zambia World/ Africa Nations’ Cup qualifier which ended in a 1-all draw.

Shungu is currently jobless after being sacked by Rayon Sport about a month ago.

Before being axed, Shungu had resigned from the role of assistant coach of the national team citing personal reasons.
