GASABO - Christians from different churches in Rwanda on Monday gathered at League Public Hall in Kacyiru for a five-day ‘healing the land’ conference.

The conference was officially opened by the leader of the Province of the Anglican church of Rwanda, Archbishop Emmanuel Kolini, who also acts as the patron of the interfaith group.

Addressing participants, Kolini called upon churches to unite in attempt to help rebuild the nation, adding that unity fosters development.

"God has united churches in Rwanda, which has become a symbol of hope in the region,” he said, adding that whenever strength is divided, Satan takes the advantage to deter progress,” said Kolini. He lauded Ellel ministries for its effective evangelism and urged Rwandan churches to borrow a leaf.

The conference which has brought together about 200 delegates from Rwanda and abroad was organized by the Anglican church of Rwanda in conjunction with Ellel ministries, a healing ministry that operates in various countries across the world.

Peter Horrobin from Ellel urged Rwandan churches to champion healing and reconciliation process for the good of the country. He urged churches to preach messages of hope and love to the saints for the good of the church and nation.

Ellel ministry is an international healing and reconciliation ministry which teaches man to reconcile with God through faith with Jesus Christ.
