Intore Entertainment, one of the leading event management firms in Rwanda, has apologised to headliners of Tayc’s show that were denied to perform at the concert, despite spending days and nights rehearsing.

The apology comes after Intore Ent faced serious criticism indicating that it failed to respect the likes of Nel Ngabo, Kevin Kade and DJ Pius who missed out on the stage, even though they were on the line-up of the show.

According to a communiqué released on Wednesday by organisers, the decision to stop Rwandan artistes from performing at the event was caused by limited time which was beyond organiser’s control.

"Intore Entertainment apologises to said artists, and reiterates its main aim at shining the brightest of lights on our local artistes and local entertainment scene. We look forward to giving ample stage time to our artists in upcoming events,” the communiqué said.

Intore Ent also noted that it is in contact with the concerned artistes and their management to present them facts that are far from what was said in the media.

It was not the first time that local artistes have complained about lack of  time or respect they deserve from event planners who they accuse of undermining them in front of international performers and fans. The same incident happened in February,  when Ish Kevin’s performance was cut short to pave way for Nigerian singer AV, a move that led to a huge saga at the concert.

This according to organisers of the event was all affected by mismanagement of time, but different measures are being put in line to avoid repeating the same mistakes in upcoming events.

Some of the measures include short line-ups, revised coordination, making sound check early, advising revellers to come early among others, organisers said.
