AS MORE ALLEGED EVIDENCE of Ugandan artiste Weasel battering Rwandan Kampala-based socialite, Sandra Teta, keeps coming out, different individuals, including celebrities in Rwanda and Uganda, have renewed calls to stop Weasel’s alleged domestic violence against his Rwandan girlfriend that has been reported several times in the past.

The case attracted people’s attention after Daniella Atim Mayanja, posted new pictures on her Instagram page as evidence that her brother-in-law Weasel Manizo had been physically abusing Teta. However, a post on Teta’s Instagram acount seemed to dispute  the claims but some people argue that she may not have been the one who posted the message.

Atim, through her Instagram page, asked her fans to help put their weight behind Teta and help her walk the journey.

"These are pictures of Sandra in December. Sandra needs all of our help, in any form. She needs all of us to raise our voices to help her with the first and most important thing her confidence. Dear ladies, there is no better time to empower a fellow woman than now. All you self-proclaimed feminists the time is now. Let's Speak up, let Sandra's voice be heard through ours. Sandra's children deserve better.#healinghearts," reads Daniella’s post on Instagram.

The photos, she said, were of previous attacks and she was seeking justice for Teta. Atim also alleged that Weasel's kids are suffering owing to the conflict between the parents.

Reacting to the pictures, Miss Rwanda 2016, Jolly Mutesi, also pointed out, on her Twitter page that such actions of violence shouldn’t be tolerated, calling those in charge to help Weasel's girlfriend.

"When impunity for violence against women becomes a norm, this is exactly what happens. This is a heinous act and should be unpardonable. Domestic violence shouldn’t be condoned as a private matter, we need to join hands as a society and end impunity for crimes committed against women,” Miss Rwanda 2016 said.

The famous Charly and Nina duo were the first Rwandan artistes to ask their fans and Rwandans to help Teta get justice.

"No woman has to be a victim of physical abuse, this has to stop… Teta needs all of us. Sending you so much love,” the duo said on their Instagram page.

"Talia walked away from weasel’s violence, lets pray for Teta to do the same. It doesn’t show weakness, it shows strength,” Sheila Gashumba, a Ugandan influencer and TV host, posted on her social media platforms. She added, "I must applaud Daniella for coming out to talk about the violence of her in law!! A wrong is a wrong we need to stand up against things or walk away from such situations regardless of family or friendship.”

Sheilla Gashumba, Charly and Nina, and Jolly Mutesi are some of the celebrities that have spoken up about the alleged violence .  Net photos.

Several Rwandans including social media influencers and journalists joined a number of celebrities in raising their voice to help the Rwandan event host b get justice.

"Dear, Chameleone your brother Weasel has been accused of domestic violence against our own. Kindly ask you to re-consider the love and support Rwandans have towards your music and denounce this violence. Your silence on this, will also be interpreted,” Ernesto Ugeziwe’s tweeted.

Meanwhile, a video emerged on social media on Tuesday of Chameleone and  Teta sharing a drink at a joint - which seemed to divide opinion.

Both parties in the case remain silent, though the singer has a history of domestic violence with his former girlfriends, Samira and Talia Kassim Katoroogo, having reportedly tasted his wrath.
