Rwanda vs Australia 4pm

The national men’s beach volleyball team will be looking to finish top of Pool B when they face Australia in the final Group game at the ongoing Commonwealth games on Wednesday.

A win would guarantee team Rwanda to advance to the quarter-finals as Group B leader.

Rwanda secured their last eight slot on Monday after beating Maldives in two sets to one, to make it two wins in two games, having beaten South Africa the previous day.

Speaking to Times Sport, in a telephone interview, head coach Christopher Mudahinyuka said that "We (Rwanda) do not want to lose a single game in the group stage.”

He added "After tomorrow's game, we will plan for the quarter-finals and our target is to reach the semi-finals.”

The quarter finals of the men’s category will be played across three sessions on Friday 5 August and the semi-finals will be played in two sessions on Saturday 6 August.

Both bronze and gold medal matches will be held on Sunday 7 August.
