Rwandan teenager Irvyn Lomami has been roped into the Olympique Lyon senior team for next season. The 18-year-old signed a new three-year contract with the French Ligue 1 giants last month and has impressed manager Peter Bosz during pre-season, something that saw his promotion in the first team squad. The talented youngster plays as a right-back and was one of the outstanding players in the Lyon second team last season where he made 18 league appearances as the team finished 10th in the Championat B. The progression of Lomami has been very swift as it was last year that he was promoted from the Lyon U-19 to the Team B where he made a great impact. Lomami was born in France to Rwandan parents and is eligible to play for both countries ALthough he is yet to be capped at any level. Lyon Squad for 2022/2023 Ligue one
