Who will perform at the Trappish mega concert this Saturday?

KINYATRAP, drill and afro-beat music lovers of Kigali are in for a treat as they await the second edition of the Trappish mega concert slated for this Saturday, July 16.

As preps for the event gets in high gear, Evolve Music and Trappish music, organisers of the event, have already announced a long line-up of both local and international giants to grace the show.

 Singah of Nigeria was previously confirmed to headline the show alongside other young Rwandan musicians topping local charts such as Kenny Kshot, Ariel Ways, Mike Kayihura, Bushali, Kivumbi, among others

The long line-up also includes Gabiro Guitar, Og2tone, Logan Joe, Kenny Sol, Ririmba, Okkama, Chriss Eazy, Afrique, B-Threy, Bwiza, France, Nillan, Slum Drip, Derek Ymg, Bruce the 1st, and Soldier Kid.

 Dubbed 'My 250 and Trappish', the event was organised with the help of Rwanda Convention Bureau (RCB) which agreed to compensate organisers of the Ycee cancelled event with a better venue and paying part of the production cost of the concert.

 Speaking to The New Times, Ish Kevin, founder of Trappish Ent, said that preps for the concert are almost done and all musicians on the line-up are in final rehearsals.

He added that revellers who bought tickets of the first cancelled show will be allowed to attend this edition by showing proof that they attended or had a ticket.

 Ish said that the concert aims to showcase different flavours of Rwandan music such as the new drill, hip-hop, Kinyatrap and Afro-beat which is driving the industry.

"We want to promote our local upcoming talents, hence we have the list that includes disc jockeys too," the 'Amakosi' hit maker said.

 Doors for the concert which will be held at Canal Olympia, Rebero, will be open at 5 pm and tickets for the event are already on sale at Rwf10, 000 for regular, Rwf20, 000 for VIP and Rwf30, 000 for VVIP.
