Kigali is buzzing with the ongoing Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) and its various proceedings, and whether you are taking part or not, you might be wondering where to hang out this weekend. We have a few suggestions: 

Chop Life Kigali 

This time around, Chop Life Kigali brings Africa’s biggest hit-makers to Kigali, like Nigeria’s Tekno Miles and Fave, Nasty C from South Africa and Khaligraph Jones from Kenya. They will, along with local artistes, Ariell ways, Bushali, Kenny soul, Okkama and more, perform on Saturday June 25 at the BK Arena. 

Entrance to the concert is Rwf10, 000 (Upper Bowl) Rwf20, 000 (Lower Bowl) and Rwf35, 000 for VVIP.

Golf Tournament

Go with a friend to the Open Golf Championship this Friday at the Kigali Golf Resort & Villas, located in Kacyiru. Doors open from mid-day. 

Trappish Night 

Are you a fan of trappish beats? If so, Ish Kevin, Kivumbi, among others, will this Friday be at Gisementi’s Car Free Zone. It starts at 6pm. 

Friday Free Class 

Wondering where you can find free dance classes in Kigali? Join others for a night of dance and fun at Kigali Convention Centre this Friday from 7pm. Special dances include salsa, bachata, kizomba and merengue. 

Gakondo Night 

If you want a feel of Rwanda’s culture through music, Cyusa Intore and troupe will play live Gakondo music at Grand Legacy Hotel located in Remera.

Kigali People’s Festival 

The festival is still on at Gisementi and Nyamirambo car free zone areas. This weekend, there will be performances from bands, dancers, and artistes, and music mixes from DJs. Do not miss the variety of Kigali street food and different board games. It starts at 4pm to midnight.
