Starting today MTN Rwanda customers will receive preferential tariffs on all calls to 3 special local numbers and one international number.

Under the product dubbed, ‘Friends and Family’ prepaid customers will receive 20 percent discount on all the calls after registering for the product.

To access the product, customers will have to first register by dialling *778*1*(then the number you want to register then press #. To check the special numbers registered, customers can dial 778#.

"We are excited about launching a new product for our customers, Friends and Family is designed to bring people closer for a lot less,” Yvonne Makolo the Senior Marketing Manager of MTN Rwanda, says in a press statement released yesterday.

The package which is expected to strengthen the company’s market share has already been offered in other countries where MTN operates like Uganda.
