APR head coach Adil Mohammed Erradi has expressed discontent over the club hierarchy’s recent decision to slap him with a one-month disciplinary suspension.

The club had a frustrating start to the season under Adil, sparking the temper between the Moroccan tactician and a number of senior players led by club captain Djabel Manishimwe.

The pair are currently each serving a one-month suspension which the club management imposed on them as a result of their altercations.

However, the club’s decision didn’t go well with the coach whose contract expires in June 2024.

"A football coach is either at work or is not at work anymore. There is no suspended coach in football with a ban on giving training or issuing instructions at the match,” he told Times Sport.

There were also reports indicating that the coach was sacked indefinitely. But the club quickly dismiss the reports, making it clear that Adil is only serving a suspension.

The coach is relaxed about a possible sack as long as the club pays the cost of his contract in case they opt to part company with him.

"It’s their decision and I respected it. But they have to bear the costs of the separation,” he said.

Meanwhile, assistant coach Ben Moussa, has taken charge of the club. He assumed the interim role throughout Adil’s absence.
