A friend in need is a friend indeed

It’s indeed special and wonderful to know that you all enjoy reading ‘The Children’s Times.’ Today, I want to talk about giving to the poor. There are some children and friends who do not have the basic things at home and in their lives while others are abundantly blessed with everything.

So my dear friends do not take those who lack not to be your friends. They need you and your help. You can be friends, by having time for them, playing with them and sharing whatever you have with them. You can do a lot of things for them.

Sharing is good because it helps us show others that we care and love them. When you share God blesses you. We can share anything of our choice, it may not be food but you can give clothes or shoes and even books and pens.

We can also support people in need through visiting them because your presence counts a lot. God blesses abundantly those who help and they share whatever they have with the underprivileged people.

If you are in school, you can form charity clubs where children save, collect and donate school materials to other children who cannot afford to buy them. Remember as you donate the little in your possession, the Lord will bless you.

Blessings don’t only manifest in form of money but you can be blessed with good health. It is great to give! So, let us make a change in our lives as we enjoy helping the needy. Always remember that, ‘A friend in need is a friend indeed.’
