MISS Supranational Rwanda, Charlotte Umulisa will represent Rwanda at the Miss Supranational 13th edition held in Nowy Sacz, Poland.

She is set to compete with contestants from different countries around the world.

The beauty queen has been living in Warsaw, Poland for almost 2 years. She is a university student at WSG doing International Tourism and Hospitality Management and a TV host at TV Bet. She participated in Miss Warsaw and was among the top ten contestants who made it to the finals.

Umulisa told The New Times that after her participation at Miss Warsaw, she was approached by the Miss Supranational International organisers to replace Anitha Umuratwa who held the title last year and also represented Rwanda in Poland.

The annual beauty pageant in Rwanda, organised by Supra Family Rwanda Ltd, is seen as an opportunity for Rwandan women to showcase their beauty, culture to the rest of the world.

She told The New Times that she has been preparing herself both mentally and physically. She is excited about representing the country in the contest, saying that she is doing all her best and for that she requests Rwandans to support her during the contest.

Umulisa revealed that she has been doing physical workouts, catwalk rehearsals and meetings with some other contestants for tips. She is happy to say that she is well prepared and everything is under control.

Voting by the public will be done via the Miss Supranational application.

Chanique Rabe from Namibia who was crowned last year will pass on the title to her successor at the conclusion of the event.

The next Miss Supranational will be announced during the contest’s glamorous televised grand finale on July 15, in Nowy Sacz, Poland.

Miss Supranational competition began life in 2009 in the city of Plock, Poland. The show’s audience has grown remarkably quickly since the beginning and now rivals other pageants as having worldwide audiences of more than 100 Million people in more than 140 countries.
