Kenny Gasana, Abdoulaye Ndoye added to REG’s squad for BAL playoffs

Rwanda Energy Group (REG) Basketball Club has added Rwandan shooting guard Kenneth Gasana and Senegalese point guard Abdoulaye N’Doye to the roster that will feature for them in the playoffs of the Basketball Africa League (BAL) that will take place from the 21st to the 28th of this month.

Gasana, a household name in Rwanda’s basketball circles is an experienced player who has been a key pillar for the national team through the years.

He has also featured for a number of clubs, including local side Patriots and many foreign outfits.

This is going to be the 37-year-old’s second time in a row playing at the BAL.

In the 2021 edition, he played for the Patriots and was instrumental for them as they finished fourth at the tournament.

N’Doye, 24, plays for Cholet basketball club of the LNB Pro A, the top-tier men's professional basketball league in France.

Meanwhile, REG have completed their training camp in Istanbul where they spent some days playing friendly games against national teams from Middle-East countries.

The team is expected in the country on Sunday.

REG will be playing against Cameroon’s Forces Armées et Police (FAP) basketball club in the playoffs of the BAL.
