Gisagara Volleyball Club, on Wednesday, May 4 departs for Tunis, the capital of Tunisia for the 2022 African Club Championships slated for May 7-18. The team last appeared at the continental competition in 2019 in Cairo, finishing 11th in that edition. They are representing Rwanda in the tournament due to the fact that they were the champions of the local volleyball league. Times Sport understands that they will fly on Wednesday night aboard Turkish Airlines. Fidele Nyirimana, the Head Coach of the team told this newspaper that the boys have had enough time to train together and he is confident they will put up a good show at the tournament. "The team has been training for the past three weeks. I believe we have a strong team and we expect to do something big in this competition,” he said.
