Players abroad: Imanishimwe excels as York puts up another great show

It was a fantastic Easter weekend for Rwandan players abroad with the likes of Emmanuel Imanishimwe, Rafael York and Sven Kalisa putting up great performances for their respective clubs.

Times Sport brings to you a wrap up of how Rwandan players fared abroad in the festive weekend.

Morocco

Emmanuel Imanishimwe put up a man of the match performance as his side FAR Rabat walloped IRT 4-1. Compatriot Thierry Manzi did not make the match day squad.

Sweden

Rafael York played 70 minutes for AFC Eskilstuna who defeated Landskrona BOIS 2-0 in the Swedish Superattan league.

CAF Confederations Cup

Meddie Kagere replaced Chris Mugalu in the 85th minute as Samba beat Orlando Pirates 1-0 in the quarter finals first leg

Portugal

Ange Mutsinzi replaced Gustavo Martins in the 28th minute as CD Trofense lost 2-1 away to Academico Viseu.

Belgium

Midfield enforcer Djihad Bizimana played 58 minutes for KMSK Deinze who lost 2-1 to SK Lommel. 

France

Brian Ngwabije was an unused substitute for Lyon La Duchere who drew 1-1 with Aubagne.

Denmark

Teenager Sanders Ngabo played the final 18 minutes for Lyngby who lost 2-1 at home to Horsens.

Botswana

Bertrand Iradukunda did not make the match day squad of Township Rollers who beat Prisons XI 2-0.

Luxembourg

Sven Kalisa put up a superb performance in midfield for FC Artet Bissen who had two red cards and lost 5-1 to Yellow Boys Weiller

Armenia

Salomon Nirisarike was not involved in FC Urartu 3-0 away win over Van FC.
