Rayon Sports talisman Leandre Willy Onana is back to full training after over two months on the sidelines with a back injury.

The Cameroonian striker sustained the injury during a match-day 13 encounter against Etincelles on January 19, and has since not been involved with the ‘Blues” who now sit fifth on the league table after 22 matches.

Rayon have noticeably struggled for goals, and subsequently in winning games, following the absence of Onana, who was arguably the club’s best player. He had scored five goals and provided two assists before his injury.

This publication can confirm that the Cameroonian import is now fit and has been part of the first team’s training since Tuesday, March 29. His return is good news for the technical team of Rayon, whose frontline has been very blunt in his absence.

He is expected to make his competitive return when Rayon face strugglers Gorilla FC on April 16, at Kigali Stadium.
