Sarah Kampire receives the best supporting and social actress award.

To celebrate the two-year anniversary of the ‘Impanga Series’, on March 26, BahAfrica Entertainment awarded the outstanding actors and actresses of the YouTube/TV show.

The outdoor event took place at Masterpiece, Remera and guests were entertained by Amazon Band before the official MC, Julius Niyitegeka, best known as Chita Magic, initiated the event.

Movie stars walked the red carpet as they greeted fans; Saranda, Albine, Tessy, and Delice from ‘The Secret’, Alphonsine from ‘Umuturanyi’, Bijou and Bamenya from ‘City Maid’, and ‘Bamenya’ were among.

The brains behind ‘Impanga Series’, Janet Usanase Bahavu and her husband Fleury Ndayirukiye, aka Fleury Legend, greeted fans on the red carpet and gave certificates of appreciation to all who feature in the series. 

In her speech, the producer of the series, Bahavu said; "Special thanks to God and our fans who made it today. It looks so amazing and I am so thankful to the very first producers who believed in me to act in their movies, and now I’m here. To our team, Impanga Series having two years in this, we owe this to you all.” 

She then presented the best supporting and social actress award to Sarah Kampire, who plays the character ‘Micky’.

Ndayirukiye said, "Impanga Series doesn’t end here. We still have some more seasons coming. I am saying this as the director of the series.” And then presented the best supporting and social actor award to Aime Valens. 

Diogene Ntarindwa was called on stage to present the best actor award in the boy’s category to actor and media personality Davis Carmel Ingabire. Ingabire said, "Special thanks to God who made all this possible. To the Impanga Series fans, you loved our movies and now we are on an amazing level. Special thanks to Fleury and Janet, you are the best. Congratulations to the other winners.”

The best actor award in the men’s category went to Israel Dusabimana. "Thank you so much to all of you who supported and voted for me. I owe you this for sure,” said Dusabimana.

Rehema Uwase won the best popularity award. She said, "Thank you so much for this award. I am so overwhelmed with joy. Thanks for voting for me and your daily support means a lot. May God be praised always and help me in the future journey.”

The best actress award winner in the girls’ category was Adeline Byukusenge. In her speech, she promised to never give up as she aims to work even more.

Esperance Uwamurera won the best actress award in the women’s category and she welcomed her family on stage as she delivered her speech, "I’m thankful to God and both Janet and Fleury who gave us this opportunity. To my husband and son who have been so supportive, I humbly thank you for letting my talent shine.”

The entire team cut cake as a symbol of celebrating two years of the series which is aired on RTV and Impanga TV’s YouTube channel. 

Winding up the event was Yvanny Mpano whose song features in the show. He was supposed to sing ‘Nizere Nde’ with Alyn Sano, but the latter couldn’t make it as she is in Dakar, Senegal. Mpano performed some of his other songs.
